We are building one of the nation’s largest ‘architecture learning’ block comprising more than one lakh square feet of carpet area exclusively for the School of Architecture and Planning.
On completion two years from now in 2021, the Block will have designer studios where every student will have a Total Productivity Experience (TPE) with allocated space for the drawing board, model making, utilizing computing applications, and spaces for organised discussions among student groups and faculty.
The Block will have laboratories for climatology, building material testing, spaces for workshops, juries and competitions, informal spaces, carpentry, 3D model making, common rooms, computer labs, a large construction yard for learning construction techniques by doing, and many more facilities comparable with the top ten global architecture schools.
Until such time the new Block is constructed, we are utilizing space and facilities at the School of Arts and Design. On joining the program, students will access nearly 1,000 titles on architecture, interior design, city planning, etc at our Library and will be provided access to best-in-class computing applications.
